FWIW, I had both java 6.2 and java 6.3 installed. I updated to the latest SC, then uninstalled SoftSqueeze uninstalled java 6.2 uninstalled java 6.3 re-installed java 6.3 re-installed SoftSqueeze (still 3.6) re-installed the java mp3 plugin
And I am not now seeing this behavior.
