The window size is usually dynamically changed but for some users (usually on Windows who tweak the Window size to suit FTP and not realtime traffic) - alienBBC connections break down in a manner similar to what people describe with some MP3. I think PC usually support a greater number of packets (not necessarily size) outstanding without ack and so can tolerate stations which are slow to send more data once the acknowledge packet window edge is moved. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39873 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
