I'm not trying to start an argument but trying to find out what other info should be added to make the difference clearer ? Both Plugins handle RSS but for different end-uses.
The name "RSS News Ticker" is usually only seen on SBs screen (or WebUI screensave setting); it is not a menu option on SBC so I think the issue of confusion has only been arising from SBC users.
