I recently downloaded SC 7.1 and it seems to be respondign considerably faster than the earlier version. Also I like the scan inside a track plugin, which finally makes it easier to scan inside a (large) track. So I will keep using this version, it feels quite stable.
The downside is that my favourite plugins are outdated now: they don't work anymore. I really miss my album review, biography and weathertime! Hope these plugins will be updated soon, too!
