Snoogly: Can you turn DEBUG log on for:

(scan) - All Scan Logging
(scan.imoport) - File & Playlsit Metadata Import
(scan.scanner) - All Scan Logging
(plugin.itunes) - iTunes Sync information

Then run a Full Scan with the verison of SC not working for you.  once
you have done that, please post the full logs into a bug report at this
site

This is a strange error, that I have not seen when testing 7.0.1 on my
Mac 10.5 system, so I would like to investigate it further.  These logs
will help me to see the errors you are seeing.
