I looked but found those packages seem to be only for Linux distros,
they're not available for Solaris. Generally on Solaris you either
build from source or get a pre-built package from Sunfreeware.com (eg
http://www.sunfreeware.com/programlistintel10.html#gd). The package
they have is also gd-2.0.35, same as what i have built & installed.

Anyways... I rolled back to SC 7.0. Will try and debug again on 7.1
when I have more time.
