Hehe, they didn't. Took me a moment to understand what changed: we now displaying artwork using the original ratio, whereas in 7.0.x we resized the artwork to be 100x100 (or whatever you're setting), filling up with transparent background. Thus they looked centered. Change 21340 should take care of this.
