I can't imagine how anyone is getting the latest 7.1 to work!! Just to try it, I DL'd and installed SC on my MacMINI running OS 10.4.11. It went through the FW update on my Transporter and white SB3. Once the database was re-scanned, I tried playing something.
Needless to say, the volume control on the SB3 is totally inactive, stuck at 100... fortunately I turned down my powered monitors FIRST! (Yes, I'm talking about the ANALOG OUTPUT). The Transporter can't play anything, even though the song titles show up and I can hit the PLAY button, nothing happens and there's no sound. No playing time at all... it just sits and does nothing. I confirmed FW versions on BOTH devices and, finally, reverted back to 7.0 which works best for me. (7.01 has the 'latin punctuation' problems). I have learned a hard lesson... AGAIN. I WILL NOT BETA TEST! I WILL NOT BETA TEST!! I WILL NOT BETA TEST!!! Good luck to those of you that have the patience to do this at home. I do enough of it at work and just want my stuff to work like it's supposed to at home. Thanks for the vent time. I'll gladly take 'flames' if they can solve my issues.
