I've seen a few of these "settings not sticking" incidents lately, but I'm using SC 7.3. It's often one of those things where you make a routine setting change, press 'Apply', go do something on a different page and then realize that the setting wasn't actually set. Then you question whether or not you really did check the right box, or if you really did hit 'Apply'.
