SoftSqueeze has the same ability. Until I saw your post, I was worried that Squeezeplay might have remote playback disabled. (The website trumpets playing via winamp and itunes.) The problem I had earlier with SS was that if I diverted the ports on my modem, it wouldn't work... port 9000 was used regardless of the SS settings.. I've been using SC from home in GA to my laptop in Nebraska.. If you haven't had speed issues, you are good (and your SC lib is prolly MP3,) but I only have about 512K outbound from home so I had to install LAME and use the server settings for my SS player to limit bandwidth.. this tells SC to convert my ALAC files at home to MP3 at speed xxxx before streaming them to me. -- pski ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pski's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15574 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53342 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
