Thanks for the advice Howard - I had been playing with the various volume hacks just to make it bearable to have my headphones in, but with no luck. I might call tech support to make sure this isn't a hardware issues. If it is I would rather get the controller swapped now than wait until the new software comes out and I want to have the functionality available.
