I am also trying to test playback from a remote location after downloading the latest nightly today. I also have SC 7.2.1... which other seem to be using without issue.
I have checked 'Enable Playback (BETA)' in Settings\Advanced\Audio Playback. Then, if I go back to Settings\Advanced and select TEST_PLAYBACK I also see my remote server's IP address and machine name - selecting wither of them does nothing.
