Bonze was using an iPlayer stream which is the MP3 high speed. The ASX stream is WMA which is a low speed (64kb/sec it ussed to be transcoded from the MP2 DAB signal). So different stream are being used although same source when "live".
Once these streams start playing - SC has really nothing to do with playing the stream unless the streams are being synced - are they being synced ?. With signple players. there are no issues about SC filling buffers etc. The two possibilities 1. the stream was interrupted by network/BBC or SB formware then it would stop playing. 2. SC could have requested the stream to stop.
