I found out that in my case it is related with the IP of the DNS in the network tab in the management web interface of the Synology on which SqueezeCenter runs. My Synology is configured to receive a IP from the DHCP from my dsl modem. Default behavior is that the modem gives out its own internal IP as DNS server (192.168.1.x) and forwards it to the DNS of my dsl provider. But this doesn't work for some reason (only for squeezeCenter, everything else works fine with the dns from my modem). When i manually enter the IP from the DNS from my provider in the management web interface of the Synology this error doesn't appear :?: Squeezecenter then correctly reports that updates are available.
