I used my Controller as a player for the very first time last night.... with this 3384 firmware.
Simple to set up and all generally worked very well. The sound was good. These are the bugs I noted: Major: 1) Unfairly I played wavs. Each track played fine but then got a certain amount of the way through and just restarted with no indication of any error. 2) When playing flac files I received a lot of stalls and rebuffering notifications. Note: I used the Controller as a player right next to my Boom. The Boom indicated the wireless signal strength as 77%. Minor: 3) There is no indication of the controller wireless signal strength in the player information (although there is for all other types of player) 4) The player icon needs updating (as does the SB3, which is the same and looks more like a Slimp3 than a SB3 I think) 5) The system sounds are unbearably loud compared with the music. They need to be attenuated a lot for delivery to the headphone output (and yes, I then turned them off).
