I have to admit I can't quite get my head around the three repository
options for the debian releases then.

There's Stable, Testing and Unstable.

I thought that Stable was for the release version, Testing was for the
'beta' and Unstable was for 'alpha' versions.

Is 7.3 currently at a stage where it can be considered beta (since
there are so many posts refering to it in this Beta forum)? If so then
shouldn't it be moved to the Testing repository? I avoid using Unstable
since it used to result in far too many occasions where I had to
recreate my library and settings, of would lose key functionality.

If no work is being done on 7.2.2, why am I still getting incremental
builds from testing/main (I just got 24099)? Are they simply rebuilds
of the unchanged source?
