I was not suggesting that you have to transcode you entire library to FLAC. I meant that the default way of playing WAV files, as delivered in the standard convert.conf, is to transcode them on-the-fly to FLAC. This default mechanism also supports seeking. To stream in raw wav, You would have had to change the configuration (Settings / Advanced / File Types) to disable this transcoding, or for some reason the flac binary would have ot be unavailable.
