Restored perl to 5.8.5
did a clean install of SC, now it is working ! great, so simple. I was so hoping that i could do a regular upgrade, but it does not work sometimes. what is not working is the ability to restore prefs i copied back the content of the prefs folder, did not help much i think <20 % of the settings where remembered at startup none of my screensaver settings no custom backgrounds for the controller not my SN login nor my password, no audio settings not the path to the musicfolder and more. Thanks for your time anyway. I will now try to get perl 5.8.8 for my machine ? This is recommended by some if you have a controller ?
