I'm not using any plugins; I cannot say when it happened, except that
it happened some time between installing (fresh) the above release, and
after playing a song, because I did not check the log in between each
step.

Given the message displayed, it seems like it would be an easy thing to
find out... either the error is within initialization in that function
itself, or perhaps it is passed an argument from elsewhere, in which
case, just find all callers of that function.  I'm a developer, and if
I saw an error like that when running my code, I would think it would
mean an easily fixable programmer error.
