Phil, Just out of curiosity, how do you deal with extra performances like for instance Christmas songs?
If you browse to Artists->Louis Armstrong->Play All Songs are you happy with playing a mix of Jazz, Christmas and Disney songs? (Just an example :-) ). The way I had worked this around was to use the albumartist tag "Various Artists - Christmas" for all Christmas song albums. Now that the behaviour is changed I am getting all christmas songs as well in the mix!
