In linux it usually is /home/<your user>/.squeezeplay/userpath/settings

On my ubuntu install it's /home/mikael/.squeezeplay/userpath/settings

the dot before .squeezeplay indicates that it is hidden ( which you
probably know >6000 posts and all)
I'm unsure if ALL settings is here (i don't think so ) ? but 

There is file named ScreenSavers.lua wich seems to set this:

The content of my file is:
settings =
{whenPlaying="NowPlaying:openScreensaver",whenStopped="false:false",timeout=10000,}

One thing I learned was, when you have f***k up the settings
completely.
You can delete all settings and the whole setup procedure will start
over again.
