I have a controller but the initial setup did not work I had to use
net-udap to configure SBR, SBC was ok to configure.
I have a very bog standard network, but the SBR refused to see my SC i
had to set everything via net-udap, if what you say is right regarding
SBR keeping is settings in config mode, most settings where missing in
SBR after setup with SBC, after i fixed it with net-udap it has been
running realy good.

But it has been a year at least, maybe the newest firmware's will
work.
It's a catch regarding fw versions, they SBR,SBC was delivered with
very decrepit old fw that has bugs regarding setup, which off course is
fixed in the new firmware ? but you have to get it up and running first
to get that.
So net-udap realy saves the day in such circumstances .
