Indeed, development for desktop Squeezeplay for the desktop is "mostly" on hold at the moment. However, from my non-authoritative vantage point, there is certainly commitment internally to getting SP Desktop to a non-beta state and continuing its development when resources become available. But currently, the Squeezeplay/SqueezeOS resources are tied up.
