any response forthcoming? just for curiousities sake, i installed 7.3.3 24731 on my laptop that already had IE8 installed, and VOILA! the center bar moves back and forth again as i had seen it do before.
i then closed the IE window for SC, and reopened it for SC, and it still worked.
