I'm currently using a laptop with an external USB drive containing all the music. I used to set the 'rescan music library' to every night at 3am. If the hard disk is disconnected for any reason, the scan finds nothing & clears the 'library' from the system. Whenever the disk is reconnected, no music is available & I have to do a full rescan again before I can access my music. Would it not be better to do an 'auto cancel' of the rescan if the music folder is not found? As it is, I've canceled the nightly rescan feature.
