Hi there,

I am using Version: 7.4 - 25649 @ Fri Mar 20 01:06:53 PDT 2009 with
Firmware: 45 on boom.

I am using this version for a month now, without having any problems.
However, I would like to suggest some improvements for the alarm clock
functionality on the boom box:

1) The alarm clock timeout option should have an additional option to
actually TURN OFF the boom box, after reaching the time limit "Alarm
Timeout (in minutes)". Right now the playback of the stream will stop,
but the boom box stays switched on and remains fully operational
(lights on, no screen saver, etc.). This feature is environmentally
safe... ;)

2) The fallback feature in case the preconfigured stream does not start
will only work if the stream can't be accessed at the time the alarm
goes off. If the stream gets unavailable within the preconfigured time
frame "Alarm Timeout (in minutes)" the music will just stop, and the
"beep beep beep" won't be started. It is pretty risky if this happens
shortly after the alarm went off and you aren't awake yet. It almost
happened to me once already... So during the alarm timeout period the
"beep beep beep" should start immediately as soon as there are problems
with the playback of the stream while constantly retrying to start the
stream... Just to make it more reliable... ;)

3) A nice feature would also be to be able to configure the fallback
"beep beep beep" sounds, but this is not so important. I would be more
than happy if the first two suggestions would find their space within
the code...

Please tell me what you think about my suggestions!

Cheers, Axel.
