I think the main motivation in returning to sqlite is resource
requirements and performance of squeezecenter. Doesn't much matter if
the scanner is slower if sc runs better on all platforms (esp. NAS
boxes) once the scan is done. 

Could be interesting to compare a tuned mysql setup to sqlite. I'd
expect a desktop os w/ gobs of ram would perform better w/ mysql having
large caches than sqlite relying on dumb os filesystem buffers.
