I'm running the code as a Windows service using srvany and often when I
open a remote console I'll have a console dialog box waiting stating the
the Perl interpreter has had to be shut down.

If I set the service to auto-restart then it picks itself up off the
floor, otherwise SC crashes hard. Nothing in the SC logs indicate what
was going on at the time.
