just a datapoint, might help someone here...

i have a dlink dir-655 and the newest FW added some kind of feature
called advanced DNS or something like that.  from what i could gather,
it was to "protect me" as anti-spoofing and even correct common spelling
mistakes.

i turned it on, and so far so good, but i am concerned it will "fight
me" at some point, (not yet tho).

what i find weird about this thread, is that a router could cause a SBR
to not find SN when other SBs and the computer can.

is this b/c the SBR is no longer as robust as those other options since
the "fallback" was removed, OR is it b/c of some common internal flaw to
the various problematic routers?

i suppose it goes without saying one should first try to upgrade their
router FW, but if that doesn't fix it, what then?
