Okay, something is broken...
I grabbed last night's .deb, chmod'd a directory to 0, and installed
it...
And it got stuck in a loop.
So I unchmod'd it, and tried again... and it still got stuck in a
loop.
I deleted the persistent cache and scanner cache, and restarted it...
It wanted to rescan of course... and it seemed fine (though I didnt do
much).
Because I asked for trouble: I restarted sc...
And now it is back to being locked after doing some sort of find (which
is again getting confused with filenames):

And then... silence.
I have a ton of the above, which may be unrelated (since it spams a
bunch of them and keeps spamming)...
But it does lock up with last night's nightly deb.
