I have 7.4 build 26808 installed on my windows home server. The control panel has an option to start automatically when the machine comes up and wants an user name and password. When I type this in and hit apply, it freezes up for a while and then looks like it has accepted it. However, on subsequent reboots it SC doesn't start automatically and when I go back to control panel - it doesn't display the user name and password I typed in earlier.
I am also seeing freezing up when you hit the OK button and just general lack of activity in the control panel.
