Yup.  I believe the CP will appear, and if it is not acted upon, will
come forward again later.  This foregrounding occurred 3 or 4 times,
each time I just ignored it and continued work.  I did this because I

Eg.

Understood.  I was also thinking if ($growl_exists) use it; else CP
nag.  It is also possible that a short notification might go unnoticed.

If at all possible, *something* should be presented (minimally, a
"Start Me for more info" note).  It seems counter-intuitive and contrary
to typical app behavior to have an empty About or Info box unless the
service is started.
