I own, with MySQL, about 26000 tracks! With SQLite there are suddenly only about 17700 tracks! The "SQLite-scanner" ignores all tracks containing any special character like ä,ö,ü,ß etc. Therefore I returned to tha last MySQL-Version of 7.4! SQLite is a crappy thing. Not designed for "large" and fast databases.
Scanning with SQLIte will last about 30% longer than with my global MySQL-instance and the number of files are now less then 40%!! SQLIte is a real crap! Just my 2 cts to the topic! MySQL is fast reliable (double write buffers) and there are enough tools to repair, optimize and administrate the database! If a SQLite database is damaged, e.g. by a power loss, the only thing you ca do is, delete an rebuild them! We should create an own/separate communitiy to preserve Squeezecenter working with MySQL!
