I understand. I'm a developer too and inspiration comes and goes so take your time. I relly thing the raing features should be a part of squeezecenter. For me, the possibility to rate a song directly from the duet controller is one of the most important one. To extract the ratings to en external media player thanks to the itunes export is another thing I cannot live without. I use it to automatically import the ratings into mediamonkey which sets the ratings into the mp3 and flac tags so I don't have to bother about loosing the ratings at db refreshes, new beta builds/bugs or disk crashes.
