I must be in a kvetching mood today.

Is it strictly necessary to have the ™ right there in your face on the
web UI?  It strikes me as being a little tacky.  Isn't it enough to keep
©'s ®'r on the settings->information page?  I know you guys need to
protect your brand and all.  But...just glancing at the top of this
forum page, It's ™, ™ and ®.  A psychologist would say that you're
overcompensating for something.  I guess an intellectual property lawyer
would say something else.

But take a look at Apple's home page & at iTunes.  I would guess that
Apple is as aggressive as anyone in terms of securing their brand. 
Aside from a discrete copyright notice at the bottom of the page,
there's nary a ™ or ®.
