Andy - I do understand where you are coming from, but it should be possible to read the tags from disk or MusicIP, manipulate the results in memory and write the results to the database in less than 5 minutes (on reasonable hardware). That would be my design goal for a 30k song database! What do you see as the major obstacle? Phil
