On the Squeezebox Controller: When I play a Slacker artist station, there is an option when you go into the station info "add an artist to this station" then you get the screen where you can spell out the artist name, but when you click the middle button after entering the name... nothing happens.
If I do the same thing using the Boom front panel, it works. I get a list of artists to choose from.
