Your PC setup is "screwed up" somehow. My lowly Athlon 1.7 loads 50 albums with artwork from browse in Explorer or Chrome in 3 seconds (no ramdisk). Honestly. (This is on XP sp3 with 2Gb of RAM, latest 7.4 nightly).
