I just attempted to install Squeezebox-server via:
Code:
--------------------
yum install squeezeboxserver --disablerepo=*
--enablerepo=squeezecenter-unstable -y
--------------------
Install went just fine and the service starts.
Initial attempts to restart or start the service fail. The service,
after install, seems to have to be manually killed. Subsequent attempts
to restart or start the service succeed.
A 'service squeezebox-server status' returns: unrecognized service.
A 'service squeezebox status' returns: squeezebox-server is stopped.
A 'service squeezebox start' returns:
Code:
--------------------
Starting SqueezeCenter: [09-08-07 11:53:28.0299] main::init (318) Starting
Squeezebox Server (v7.4, r28091, Fri Aug 7 04:01:53 PDT 2009) perl 5.010000
--------------------
A 'service --status-all | grep "sq"' returns: squeezebox-server (pid
5790) is running...
Shouldn't there be a little more consistency here? E.G.: if the
install package is known as 'squeezeboxserver' shouldn't the service
also be 'squeezeboxserver'? Or, if the service needs to remain
'squeezebox', can't the install package be 'squeezebox' too?
Whatever the service is, shouldn't the status reports match the name of
the service, i.e. 'squeezebox' vs. 'squeezebox-server'?
Can't the initial console echo also reference the service name, rather
than 'SqueezeCenter'?
