Sure you could. You could add the command to /etc/crontab and let it
run every night or so. On the other hand, once you've scanned your
library there's little need to rescan it again. I rarey do that, because
playing a new album via browse music folder will add that to the
library.

And the "rescan" button in the webui should work. It used to work and
I'll have to see why it doesn't work anymore.
