I went from the old May MySQL version to the recent MySQL versions, it also went from SqueezeCenter to Squeezebox Server. I copied the Cache and Prefs folders so I could copy them back over. There was some weirdness with the Extension Downloader and some plug-ins, but I was able to get it all sorted by manually copying some files, and restarting several times. My settings all remained intact, which was good.
Does that help? I think if you make backups of everything, you should be able to get everything back the way ti was faster than a clean install. I'm finding performance not so great, but I'm not sure if it's some corruption in my system from all the up/down-grading or if it's something in the newer builds. Because of the directory changes it's not as easy to roll back, but it's do-able... just keep backups of everything. -- MeSue Sue http://www.last.fm/user/MeSue ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MeSue's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66457 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
