line 13 was: use lib qw(/usr/local/slimserver/CPAN /usr/share/squeezecenter/CPAN CPAN) i changed it to: use lib qw(/usr/local/slimserver/CPAN /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN /usr/share/squeezecenter/CPAN CPAN) This helped, but now I'm miffed with questions about things I don't know anything about ? any wiki on how to build perl modules for squeezebox ?
