A lot of threads pop up these days about the quality of beta releases. Wouldn't it be a good idea to differentiate between different stages of pre-release?
E.g. Aplha, Beta and RC (Release Candidate). Or maybe just use the two of them (Beta and RC or Alpha and Beta) . Right now it seems that 7.4 is Aplha quality and 7.3.4 is RC quality. That would make it a lot easier for would-be testers to decide when to jump in on a version. I know that google is pushing the limit of what can be called beta-versions, but that's their problem. It could be as simple as a (locked) sticky in this forum, stating what kind of pre-release state each version is considered to be right now. Make it a small routine to assess the status once per week or so. -- Muele BR Mogens 2 Controllers, 2 Receivers, 1 Squeezeplay.
