I couldn't take it anymore and rolled back to 28235 (8/21 build), which had been running very well for me except for the lack of context menus. Since the roll-back I have been through 5 songs without a barf, stutter, or even a hiccup. In other words, flawless playback and a server CPU usage graph that isn't spiking like crazy. Something seems to have regressed between Friday morning's build and today's.
