Bizzare, I had EXACTLY the same problem yeterday even spent an hour on the phone to customer support (BTW that was cool got chatting to the guy about the babyboom and touch)
could not get the receiver off flashing red light, in the end i plugged in a lan cable switched it off at the plug left it for a few hours then went back switched it on and voila it now works on and off Lan connection!!
