How about two "apps" that use a common support system. If either one is installed, you get a UI to add/delete feeds from the server list. Then each app lists those feeds and you choose which are enabled for that app. Both currently use XMLBrowser at one level or another, so it could be as simple as letting XMLBrowser handle the UI for adding/editing feeds and the UI for it is only exposed once you have something that makes use of it. Info Browser would then only show up on browse menus, while Info Ticker would only show up as a screensaver.
