When I started this thread, I was hoping I could soon use the controller for headphone listening. Over the last two weeks the crackling has become unbearable and playback issues for the controller have been postponed to 8.0. A bummer, but I could live with it, if I could be certain it will be solved.
However, today this reached a new low here that should not be acceptable: when restarting the controller, even the 'startup tune' was crackling heavily!
