As a QNAP user I can't at present use Squeezebox Server 7.4 but I am forced to upgrade firmware if connecting to SN (now at mysqueezebox.com). If I leave things as they are, I constantly upgrade/downgrade firmware when switching between SC and SN. Is it possible to use the new 7.4 firmware versions (for DUET and BOOM in my case) with SC 7.3.4 as a temporary measure? I know how to prevent SC from changing receiver and BOOM firmware but not sure about the controller.
Is it sensible to try doing this? I don't want to 'just try it' in case it causes serious problems.
