Not for/with iPeng. Settings->Home Menu is a purely local thing and will only act on the device itself while adding a shortcut to the home menu will add that on all controls you are using. So if you use a Touch and iPeng plus a Controller as remotes, you would have to add the App twice (Touch and Controller, and you don't get it on iPeng) while it will show up on all devices if you do it through MySB.
