For my case, I'm now pretty certain this is a Windows 7 problem (possibly only x64). Something in the network stack gets botched, or there may be a kernel memory/pool leak. I discovered this by seeing other networking errors occurring, where eventually Windows File Sharing also fails, with the following errors:
Log Name: System Source: srv Date: 12/21/2009 5:58:31 PM Event ID: 2017 The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the server reached the configured limit for nonpaged pool allocations. It requires a reboot to resolve. I was using 7.3.4, which failed before the reboot, and has worked after the reboot. After the reboot, SB* playback is fine. I don't believe this has anything to do with the SBS software, regardless of version. The confounding issues for me where simultaneous: 1) XP -> Win 7 x64 upgrade, 2) SBS 7.3.x to 7.5 upgrade, 3) inexperience with Win 7 issues. and 4) random point in time when SB* playback would transition from working to failing (once it failed, it would fail on *every* song thereafter). -- MrC ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=468 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71140 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
